Did you Know?
Father Tony used an
to bless the congregation last week on the Baptism of the Lord. As Father walks by and sprinkles us with holy water, we make the sign of the cross. When we are blessed with water, it reminds us of our own Baptism. We are children of God and are called to live our lives as children of God in word and action.
What is different this week at Mass?
This weekend we celebrate the start to our Bicentennial Year for the diocese. Our Richmond Diocese started 200 years ago! At the beginning of Mass, you will hear a special letter from the Bishop of Richmond and later you will hear a special prayer after the Universal Prayer. It is our Bicentennial Prayer and it is based on scripture and it also helps us celebrate our theme: “Shine Like Stars”.
Listen for different readings this Weekend at Mass!
If you use a children’s missal or adult missal or like to preview the readings before Mass each week- please note that we will be doing different readings to celebrate the Bicentennial Mass. Here they are if you like to do the readings before you attend.
